Hi Ilkeee.

1) Praha to Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-budapest

2) Budapest to Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/budapest-to-vienna - but it is NOT worth as it is a travel of 2-3 hours. use a direct train (Railjet or EC - free of supplements) and avoid the Hungarian ICs ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/hungary/hu )

3) Vienna to Munich: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/vienna-to-munich - also do this by direct day train (4 hours of travel). not worth the money to spent for a night train - better to use it on a hostel !!

4) ICE in Germany: as long as it is a normal national ICE ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/ice-deutsche-bahn/11 )in Germany, a reservation is NOT required !! only on the ICE Sprinter (only some in the morning and evening on business routes like Berlin-Frankfurt, but you won't normally find a lot of them!) you have to pay a supplement: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/germany/de

Hi.

You are talking about this connection:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/duesseldorf-vienna-en-421/43

This train is from ÖBB the Austrian national railway company - and they are very expensive concerning the night train supplements.
I do NOT recommend to use a night train on this connection.

Better option is:

- either by free and direct day train ICE.

- night train like this (it is not a real long night, but better than nothing - and cheaper than a hostel):

Frankfurt(Main)Hbf Dep: 1954 | ICE train - free of supplements
München Hbf Arr: 2308

München Hbf Dep: 2340 | night train (seat with a max of EUR 5): https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/munich-budapest-en-463/55
Wien Meidling Arr: 0558
(destination is Budapest Arr: 0849)

Peter :)
