Hello,

my boyfriend and I will be inter-railing for the first time this summer aug-sep2009 for one month and we would love some thoughts on our intended route. any places we should definitely go/avoid? does it look like it'll be possible to do this on a 10 days in 22 days ticket?

at the moment we're thinking:

Amsterdam- we hope to be coming from newcastle by ferry.- 1 night
Berlin- 3 nights
prague- 1 night- we've been before
Krakow- 2 nights
Bratislava- although things i've read on here about BR haven't been great, so maybe not... 1 night
Budapest- 2 nights
Vienna- 2 nights
Ljubljana- 2nights
Salzburg- 1 night or just a passing trip on way to munich
Munich- 3 nights
Geneva-3 nights
Paris- 3 nights
then home somehow...

thank you

id spend a little more time in amsterdam, skip prague if youve already been and do Bratislava as a day trip from Vienna. Thats pretty tight to do with 10 days travelling, you would finish up with no days left to get back from Paris (although you could fly/try and get a cheapish Eurostar ticket). If your good with the planning it should be doable though. Looks like a good route.

Oh and go and see Bled/Bohinj if you have time in Slovenia
