7 of us (age 17, London) are planning to interrail Europe this summer with no past experience.
We have a route and possible places to stay. We are flying to Valencia for Benicassim Festival then are hoping to go to Lake Konstanz (german/swiss boarder), Medulin near Pula (Croatia), Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Calais, Dover.
We are finding it very hard to plan route from Barcelona (link to Benicassim) to Lake Konstanz and are also unsure of how to get anywhere else. It's a bit of a mess...
Any help/recommendations appreciated.

hej hej ...
so let's help a little bit - and right ... from Barcelona up to the lake Constance it is a long way and a little bit hard...
first, always have a look on this route planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
and keep in mind the special trains for which you need supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
you can always avoid them planing correctly by the train schedules mentioned above. the schedules are available up to 3 months in advance from now, but test it with the date of today - it won't change a lot in summer.
by the way... as you want to go to Croatia, think about the Exit Festival (search the forum for some more information) and skip the Benicassim Festival ... only a proposal... :)
okay let's go ...
Barcelona to Konstanz:
if you want to do it by night train, you can use this one: https://rail.cc/en/barcelona-geneva-bern-zurich-night-train/f1098
it is expensive and if you travel by 7 persons, it might be hard to get enough beds... you have to book early then.
Valencia by regional train to Barcelona - by night train to Zurich - then by Regional train (1 hour) to Konstanz.
if you want to avoid all the supplements, you will have a 24 hour travel. but with enough beer, you can survive... ;)
travel by regional train like this: Valencia - Barcelona - Port Bou (French/Spanish border) - Montpellier - Avignion - Lyon - Geneve - Zurich - Konstanz.
from Konstanz you have good access to Munich, then think about a CNL ( https://rail.cc/en/night-train/germany/de | CityNighLine Train) to Berlin - they are very cheap and clean.
from Munich you also have good access to Prague, Vienna, Amsterdam, Croatia ... just have a look here at the country topics where you will find all the night trains (with the supplements) you will need !!! :)
for the ferry Calais to Dover: https://rail.cc/en/paris-london-ferry-calais-dover/f1442
I hope this will help you ... and if you want to support the railcc project, buy your official InterRail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] ... thank you ... Peter :)
