Hello,

I'm looking into buying an interrail pass for my summer trip.

My main question is does the interrail pass cover the 'chunnel'? If not, does it have a discount for the chunnel? If not, how much (approximately) is the chunnel and how far in advanced do I need to reserve a seat? I need to get from London to Paris.

Also, I'll be traveling with someone who will have a Eurorail pass, will we be able to reserve trains together and get on the same trains with the two different passes?

Thanks so much for any help you could provide.

Hi.

The EUROSTAR trough the 'chunnel' is expensive. Sometimes normal discounted tickets are even cheaper. For more details: https://rail.cc/en/train/london-to-paris
It is usually cheaper to use a ferry (Dover-Calais or Harwich-Hoeck van Holland) or a bus including the ferry:

It is NO problem to travel together with someone using the Eurail ticket !! you can use the same day and night trains and normally the supplements are the same.
