I am going inter-railing this summer around Europe and for the most part i will be reserving my trains or paying supplement a few days before I need to catch a train. If im reserving a train which is leaving in less than a few days (via phone most probably) do I need anything sent to me? In other words - how does it work? Do i just give them my name, a card number and turn up with my global ticket?

Jason

p.s sorry if i have asked this question somewhere else in the forum

1) buy your InterRail Global Pass at least two weeks before your departure online via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
2) reservations you need and you know before your departure, you can try to order by phone, if it is not possible to do it online (but calculate a minimum of 1 week for delivery - 2 weeks is better!)
3) for reservations or supplements during your tour: just go to a station (even if it is in an other country) and ask there for the reservation/supplement.

always be a little bit flexible ... that's one part of the InterRail travel experience - you can't plan anything ... not on your travels, not in your live... :)
just relax... and you will always get a seat or bed on the trains of Europe. maybe one two hours later, but you will get one. after three days of travel, you will have the feeling and you will enjoy it if you did not booked everything in advance. :)

Thanks a lot Peter. I was mainly asking about our first night train we are going to catch. Puts my mind at ease.
