In Paris it is often cheaper to search for a cheap double bed room in a small hotel.
Hostels are not so good like in other European cities and they are really expensive.
Two hostels which I can recommend:
St. Christophers
Le Village

Cheap hostels are the ones of Arcor Hotels, B&B and so on. Have a search on Google. :)
