I've been looking at taking a fast (IC)train from prague to Berlin and then Berlin to Hamburg, as the local trains take over double the time. But i can't find out if reservations are compulsory or how much they will cost on top of my interrail ticket. Could someone please tell me?

always have a look at this list: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
the ICs in Germany are not listed - so NO supplements or reservation needed.
if you travel on a normal IC from Prague to Berlin: the same - no supplements or reservation. or is it mentioned as EC? then have a look at the list above.
Germany is an InterRailer-friendly country. nearly no supplements, even on the high speed trains like ICE !! :)
