Hi. I'm a 17 year old girl from Norway who are planning to go interrailing through Europe with my friend this summer. We're going for 1 month, but I'm a bit worried about our route. We start in Trondheim and want to take the train somewhat straight down to Lille or somewhere close, and from there take the Eurostar to London. After that the route is more open. My question: Is there any possibility for us to get to Istanbul?

to Istanbul you can go i.e. by this route: germany-austria-hungary-romania-bulgaria-turkey. it's about 80 hours from your city with 9 hours break (during a day) in wien.

this trip would be very...romantic ;)

just something to add...
the Eurostar is expensive, reflect about using the ferry Calais (France) to Dover (UK): https://rail.cc/en/paris-london-ferry-calais-dover/f1442
information about the Eurostar: https://rail.cc/en/paris-london-eurostar/f1806
and to get from London to Istanbul, do it the way like Lucas said ... it is a long travel, but fun ... make some stops ... Vienna, Budapest, ... and use the night trains (all are listed here at the forum, check the country topics), an overview is here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
London - Istanbul the direct way: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/london-to-istanbul
Peter :)
