Hi,
I and two of my friends are considering to travel Europe with a 22 days flexi ticket.( with 10 travel days) We have been trying to understand the important points like travel day, night train, 19.00 rule for two days and what we have come with just confusion:( Now, giving same cases I want to show what we could not understand well.

Case 1. Consider that we took a train at 2 pm and arrived somewhere at 6 pm. Then at 9 p.m. we again took a train, but not a night train, and arrived to the next station at 11.30 p.m. So, do these two train travel count as one day? And, what if we arrive to last station after midnight, considering everything else same.

Case 2. Again consider that we took a train at 2p.m and arrived somewhere at 6 p.m. Afterwards, took a night train at 18.50 and arrived to next station on tomorrow morning. So,do these two train travel count as one day? And, what if we took night train after 19.00?

Lastly, we will buy a 2nd class youth interrail ticket. With this ticket can we only reserve seats in night train? And what is the average price for a night train reservation?

If someone can answer my question, we will be very glad.

Hi. Ill try to explain the rule and then go through your questions. If a night train (ie EN, CNL etc) leaves after 1900h, you can put it as the next day on your ticket. Thats it

So, for point 1
That is 1 day, unless the train arrives after midnight, in which case it is 2 days regardless of what type of train it is.

point 2 - 2 travel days, both cases

you can reserve seats, 2nd class couchette (6 bunks) and 2nd class sleepers on night trains. not all night trains will have all of these. There are plenty of examples on the website for prices but in western europe you are probably looking at €15-20 for a couchette, maybe €5 for a recling seat

Hovewer i also have a question. If i took the train at 23 p.m and arrive at 2 a.m. (not a night train), then how i will fill this journey into my ticket. In fact I do not know how to fill the ticket:) Does somebody fill it?

you have to fill in what dates you will be travelling on. Just fill out 2 conseq. dates. Technically you are meant to fill in the bit underneath about where you are going/train number etc. Ive only had 1 guard ever get arsey about that
