Hello
I'm in need of a little help! two friends and I are planning to go on Interail in July :D and at the moment my jobs is to find out about the Ppyrenees. I need to stay to the east as we are going from Barcelona to Marseilles. But we want to stop somewhere in the Pyrenees to do a bit of hiking. I've read about this yellow train which sounds wicked but need a place to stay for a night. Don't know if anyone knows of any cheap accommodation in Latour de Carol or has any other ideas. From websites it seems like there aren't many hostels in the town. Any info would be fab!

mmmh... in deed ... I never found a hostel there ... so I always slept somewhere close to the station. using my gaz cocker in front of the station to have some dinner - and when it became night, I crossed the track and searched there a place to sleep - not really comfortable. and pay attention: it really gets Chttps://rail.cc/en/night-train/sweden/se there at night !!!
if you want hiking - maybe stop some stations before in Spain - there are often hostels/hotels I saw out of the train coming up from Barcelona to La Tour de Carol ... but I never stopped there personally.
when leaving in La Tour de Carol to go down to Villfrance/Perpignan, be early in time at the train. so you get a seat in a car with no roof !! :)
you can't make reservations. put your backpack under your seat as there will be always a lot of people in high season. but it is worth doing it - even not enjoying trips on places with a lot of tourists like I do ... ;)
