I bought a lonely planet book and I'm pleased with it! It´s very nice. I recommend it. But if you want a railway connections book you have the Thomas Cook European Railway Timetable.

You can find Lonely Planet easily in bookshops like Fnac, Bertrand even in Hipermarkets: Continente, Carrefour...
The Thomas Cook European Timetable isn't so easy to find. Maybe in a travel agency like Wastels or Tagus but in Fnac you can ask for it and in a couple of days they deliver it to you! Don´t forget to ask for the Summer 2006 edition (if you plan to travel this summer, of course).

For the Thomas Cook book ( https://rail.cc/en/information ) it depends on the country you live in, I know for example that the editor decided not to publish it in France for some reason. However I was told receiving it it was a matter of weeks, not days (probably depends on where you order it though)

Hello.
My experience would advise me to order the thomas cook timetable from amazon. They usually deliver it the same week (my last order was a thursday, and next tuesday I had the books at home).

Raquel, do you already decided the date of your interrail? I hope to be around lubljana (spelling?) around next 10th August.

Hi!
I was wondering - the thomas cook european timetable has train connections - good.
But does it have any actual timetables? (I know it's highly unlikely that it has, since it would take a great deal of work and yearly updates to keep all european timetables on a book xD tough it sure would be good 8) )

Hi...
there is a winter and a summer edition ... and there are special expensive versions which are updated every month. :)
So not every train connection is correct for example in the summer edition ... but if you do not have access ot an internet cafe or do not want to ask always on a train station for connections, it is usefull! :)
That's my experience ... ;)

The Thomas Cook European Timetable does contain timetables - lots of them!! Wouldnt be much use otherwise!!!! It IS updated every month!!!
There are two types of ETT. The regualr monthly edition really just contains timetables, and is the cheaper of the two. Then there is the Independent Travellers Edition which comes out 4 times a year and contains more useful travel information.
