Hi,
I will be taking this route ( https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route )this summer and i was wondering:
1) Which trains do i need to book?
2) Which trains have supplements
3) How much will they be approx.?
4) What is the best way to book/reserve the trains?
Any help very much appreciated!
Thanks

You definitely need to book the CNL, which is about €20-25 for a 6 person couchette, about €10 for a reclining seat ( https://rail.cc/en/night-train/germany/de ). You will be able to do it Brussels or by phoning DB directly
Possibly the ICE since its international and says subject to supplement, but maybe not. Best ask at the station. If you do need to pay it wont be much
The others I think are OK, good luck on the train from Budapest (I assume you are heading to Exit). It will be rammed. Bring plenty of water, beer and a party attitude!

Thanks for your swift reply SiDUDe!
That helps a lot. So i know i have to phone CNL to book the overnight leg. What about the ICE? Over the internet/phone or at the station?
And yes, i am heading to EXIT!! Thanks for the heads up. Have you been?

yeah the same, although this is unlikely to be as full. I went to exit last year, much warm beer was drunk and much fun was had. Soulwax destroyed the dance arena - thankyou belgium!
They havent released the lineup this year have they?

Ok.
No not really. Moby is announced and the After 2 DJ's also, but thats all. I'm going straight from Rock Werchter!! I can't wait. Did you camp at EXIT?

yeah we camped (sorry this is going way off topic, but never mind...). It was good fun, although dont expect much sleep. When the music finishes at 8 and its already to hot in your tent it pretty bad, i dragged my airbed out of the tent and tried to get some sleep out in the open. I think next time i may try to get an air conditioned apartment...

hi ...
have a look at this link, where all supplements are listed:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
compare it to your train schedule: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
then you know, if there is a supplement or not. :)
play a little bit with the schedules website - you will always find other connections with no supplements.
have a sunny spring, Peter :)
