I am planning a trip this summer and am wondering whether it is worthwhile to become a member of the youth hostel association.

We plan to visit the following places - Paris, Zurich, Florence, Zagreb, Budapest, Vienna, Krakow, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam.

Are the discounts worthwhile? if so how much do you tend to save by being a member?
