Hi
is this really necessary? As its my first interail and im going on my own, ive mapped my route out almost completely in advance.
Also is it vital to have the most recent edition or can i buy the timetable for April when Im actually travelling in May?
Thanks
Becky

... in most stations you will find online terminals to check train schedules, also most hostels have internet access so you can check and print the schedules...
depends on you, if you want everything in detail or not ... I like the Thoms Cook Timtables :)

Is there any difference between the Thomas Cook Independent Travellers Timetable and the Thomas Cook Timetables that are published every month?
Which is better to get?

According to their homepage the Traveller's Edition is slightly expanded but there are only two issues per year (smmer/winter). Until now I've always bought the DB Kursbuch Europa, which is the regular European Timetable (December and June edition) only with a DB cover (Thomas Cook belongs to DB btw).
However the DB Kursbuch Europa is discontinued so I will buy the Traveller's Edition for this summer. :)
