Hello!
I am going to be interrailing this summer through countries in both eastern and western europe, and as such will require a couple of different types of currency. Last year I travelled through France, Italy, Slovenia and Austria so I'm used to just using the euro.
Would it be a good idea for me to open an account with no overseas withdrawal charges (nationwide?) and then use that to take out money in the different countries I visit, thus eliminating the need to carry several types of currency?
I was planning on taking my card along with 200 euro anyway, but wanted to avoid carrying money for additional countries as well.
Hope someone can offer some good advice on this one.

If youve got a nationwide debit card, thats the best thing. Keep some euros with you somewhere safe all the time, as they are easy to change/accepted in most countries. ATM's are easy to find, even in most of eastern europe
