I want to use this train as part of a travel from Brussels to Istanbul.
Does anyone know how this train can be booked ? I tried to get a
booking from the SNCB travel center in Brussels, using the electronic
reservation system, but it did not seem to know the train number.
From which countries or organisations (travel agencies, etc) could
this train be booked ?

Thanks in advance,

Marc.

P.S. By the way, this train does not appear in the sticky posts - any
reason why ? Thanks !

Im pretty sure you can only book this train in Serbia, or by ringing up the serbian railways directly. No idea why this isnt a sticky, it should be, isnt it part of the orient express route?

Or try: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]

OK, many thanks. I will first try with an agency affiliated with the
German Railways, since those seem to have a much more comprehensive
list of trains that can be booked in their system, and then if it does not
work, I'll try the route you proposed.

This is how I did it, from Vienna you take the direct sleeper to Vienna at 18.50, I arrived quite late from Germany, you just approach the train attendant pay him in cash €26 one way, make sure you give the exact money becuase he did't have any change. The train arrived only with 10 minutes delay at 17.50 in Sofia from there i took the 19.10 sleeper to Istanbul. Do the same as above approach the attendant and to Istanbul to Sofia it's €10 one way.
