Hello everyone!
I am a hungarian guy and hope i can manage to save enough money to go on my dream holiday with Interrail.the route that i plan is long and hard to execute but i hope it is not impossible. That is why i want to know what you think about it.First of all i reckon i will have enough money to travel for more than 30 days as i don't have much needs so i will not spend a lot of money during my trip (July-August 2009)
Well about 1/3 of my trip will be by Eurolines buses to London,Ireland,NI,Scotland,Paris, going to Lisbon.
And from Lisbon i'd like to use my 30 days global pass to go to somewhere near Barcelona, and then to Marseille,
Genova
Bern
Innsbruck
Rijeka
Split
Sarajevo
Belgrade
Pristina (I looked it up and one main rail line does go through the city but i am just not sure it is considered to be an Interrail country because of it's disputed political status)
Skopje
Thessaloniki
Istanbul
Sofia
Bucharest,or another Romanian town.
I know it seems a lot,but add that i don't want to spend so many days in neither town or city (the most is 3 days)
as i counted it must be within 30 days and i added extra days spending with travel just in case. But i have no idea how i often some trains go and how i can get to Istanbul for example from Thessaloniki.
What is your opinion?
Thank you very much and sorry for the long description

It shouldn't be a problem time-wise, I guess. On the back of some interrail maps you can find some useful travel time informations. As far as I know, there is a night train from Thessaloniki to either Sofia or Istanbul, for that Matter. Sofia to Bucharest will also only take a night. I believe, I did a bigger route on my trip, so you should be good to go.

regards pristina, the best way (as of this summer) was to bus it there from Skopje, as its very close. And then to make sure you dont have to go back into Serbia, as they may refuse you entry.
