I am from Canada looking ot take interrail with one friend (both of us have been in the UK for over 6 months now) from December 26th, 2008 returning to the UK on January 4th, 2009.

We are hoping to goto Switzerland and Italy. What is the best way of going about it?

What about if I am leaving on my own December 20th to goto Denmark and then meeting my friend in Paris before heading to Switzerland and Italy.

Thank you for your help!

Hi.
If you want to travel by night train, book them in advance. The same for the high speed trains.
Especially on the 23th, 24th and 25th December and on the 31th Dec. + 1st January.
For details about reservations: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
Information about night train connections here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

is there anywhere on here to find some easy to follow routes mapped out? If I am traveling alone will I easily meet people along the way?

Thank you!

If you are sleeping in hostels, you will meet every day new and nice people... use the smaller hostels, not the big ones.
