i know you have to pay extra for ski equipment/surf boards etc..but does anyone know about a tent? Thanks.

it is no problem if you fix the tent on your bagpack.
maybe think about to put your bagpack (including your fixed tent) in a big plastic bag to avoid that something get damaged at the airport/plane. :)
