Hey .. :)


Could it be a good idé to take a GPS with me, when i am in the big citys.
So i better can find the train stations or the attractions :?: [/b]

mmmh...
I personally use a compass and a map ... :)
but I also played with some mobile-navigation-software. it was nice!!
but maybe I am more old style ... ;)

I think that a GPS is a good way to find certain streets and avenues...
And there are some GPSs that tell you were the hostels are and some restaurants.... :shock:

It's handy but remember - it's also something else to lose. And a considerably more expensive loss than say - a paper map acquired from the local tourist information that does the same job, just at a slower pace...

Bring out the GPS and you could soon find it being snatched from your hands, in some places.

I'd advise against it.

If you have a GPS, bring it with you. But its electronic, so dont count on it to hold the whole trip. It can go out of batteries, or it just stop working. So bring a map, even if you got a gps. I used to plot in interesting places on my GPS last summer, and was going back to some of the places, but then my GPS went on strike. Had i just plottet the places on to a map...
