Warning - private train company: Ferrovie del Sud-Est

When travelling through Italy with the regional trains, be careful about the private train companies... we encountered one such in the Puglia region... it is called Ferrovie del Sud-Est (FSE). We had to pay 10 euro/person for a 55km travel (Lecce - Gallipoli) to the ticket inspector just because we didn't know that we are boarding a private train where the Interrail isn't valid...
