hey guys, im a uk resident and just checking if we need to get any visa's sorted for any eu contrys before we go.
also wilst im here is there any other importand documents i need to take with me

hej ... you normally just net an IDcard or passport (one of them also needed for your InterRail ticket!) ... for Turkey you need a visa as UK citizen - but not for the EU countries! :)

so the visa is collected at the turkish border or is it advisable to obtain before we go

there are different rules ... as German (and most other European countries) you will get it directly at the border - absolutely no problem.
for citizen of the UK, there are special rules... I am not sure about it, but read at this website: www.turkishconsulate.org.uk

If you're of a nationality allowed to buy visa at the border, [b]remember to have cash for this on you[/b], and check ahead how much you need!
