Hello,
I am travelling around Europe from the end of July and will be looking to arrive in Croatia from around the middle of August probably by train from Slovenia to Zagreb and then work my way down to Dubrovnik.
Please give any advice you have on an itinerary of how to do this. Should I go from Zagreb to Split and then on Dubrovnik and also are there trains to Dubrovnik? How to I get to Hvar as well?
I look beach fun, parties, but also adventure sports and the best scenic views, as I heard Croatia has it all.

Hi,
The adriatic coast is very beautiful! From zagreb you can't get further south than Split by train.
There are ferries (surprisingly cheap) and buses running between Split and Dubrovnik. The ferry costs 17,50EUR (deck) in high season, the bus is around 12EUR.
There's also a ferry from Split to Hvar (22HRK / 2,90EUR).

Hi,
I am thinking of going from Mostar to Split and making Split my base while I do some island hoping to Hvar and Zadar. Firstly, if I missed seeing Dubrovnik is that something I would regret?
I want to see Plitvicka Lakes and then return to Zagreb as I need to move onto Ljubiljana. I want to spend about 7-8 days on the coast so any advice would be useful. I don't really won't to spend for example, 1 night in Split, 1 in Hvar, 1 in Zadar, 3 night in Plitivicka and then back to Split for 1 night before going back to Zagreb.

Ok, will do, looks like I'll go from Mostar to Dubrovnik and then follow your plan up to Zagreb.
