Sorry for these really simple questions - just really confused!
- So if I buy a Interrail ticket, I won't have to pay anything on all the trains I take for the validity of the ticket? Except maybe some surcharges for sleepers/high speed trains? Is this correct?
- I live in London, so I will be depart from there and going to Paris - this service is run by Eurostar.. will I have to buy a seperate ticket and does my InterRail pass allow me to get it cheaper?
- How do I book my seat on the train? Do I do it online in advance or do I go up to the station wherever I might be?
- My planned route is: Paris > Amsterdam > Berlin > Prague > Vienna > Munich (flying back home to london) Will this be allowed on a Interrail ticket? If so, what kind of ticket will I need to buy? I am going over a three week period so I'm guessing a Global 10 stops in 22 days one?
Thanks so much for your help - I'm just so confused!

Many trains have supplements, though you can supposedly always find a supplement-free route alternative, using slower trains etc. If you want seat reservation (which is required on some trains), there is a reservation fee.

Someone else has to answer this, but I'm pretty sure interrailers get a discount on the Eurostar.

The route should be no problem to cover in 22 days I think. You should choose between the 10 days in 22 global pass, or the full 22 day pass depending on how much you want to be on the move.

you have to do it either by phone at the eurostar website or directly at the station as it is not possible to do it online. :(

thanks again for the super fast response
thats no problem. do i just say 'i have a youth interrail pass and i need a ticket from london to paris please' on the phone?
i can see them giving me problems.
might be easier to book it in person as i can show them the pass and everything.
was thinking about the ferry, but time is of the essense (as i only have 3 weeks) so i want to make sure i have enough time.
once again, thank you ever so much!

yes just tell them that you own an interrail pass. and me personally also prefer the one-by-one talking to a person directly instead of calling by phone. :)

yeah thats what im thinking of doing. i work pretty close to kings cross st pancras so i can just go there during my lunchbreak.
im not departing until late february. am i correct in thinking i can buy my ticket 5 months in advance .. would it be advisable to book my eurostar seat straight after i get my ticket (which i am going to buy AS soon as i can!)
thanks :P

You can book your ticket up to three months in advance: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
And there will be no problem to book then in November your Eurostar ticket as in February there aren't a lot of interrailers, so no problems if there is a seat limitation.
by the way ... nice place to work there, close to St. Pancras ... I just passed there two weeks ago ... next time I will mail you for a beer ... ;)
