Hey guys,

I've searched for this topic in the forum but I couldn't find a recent post on this.
I want to travel from germany through Denmark, Swenden to Estonia, Latvia, Lithua, Poland an back to germany in the next month.
To increase my level of mobility, I'd like to take my bicycle (28" Cross bike) with me. In the railplanner-app is a option that I can check for bike carriage. But for example in Sweden is no train available, that provides this option. Has anyone made experiences with bike carriage in a "normal" train? Is it enough to demontage the front wheel and putting the Bike in a big Bag?

I would really appreciate, if someone could answer this question! :-)

Best regards

It's usually a good idea to check rules with the train companies of each country. For instance in Sweden SJ's website has this page which answers it clearly https://www.sj.se/en/customer-service/frequently-asked-questions.html/5216-can-i-bring-my-bike-on-the-train/ basically they don't want bikes unless you can make them small enough and bagged to be classed as luggage - in which case the railplanner app isn't relevant.

DSB in Denmark have https://www.dsb.dk/en/travelers/bicycles/ a locally bought bike ticket is needed on most trains plus reservations during the summer on IC or IC Lyn.

Easiest-google. What a wonder: just type ´how to take bike in ...
Between LV and LT NO trains for now. LT-PL ONLY weekends in summer. But with a bike.............

Hey guys,

thank you for your fast and helpful comments!
@nltrainer: Do you know if there is any other connection between LV and LT? Bus for example?
