Hallo!
Wir fahren heuer das erste Mal mit unseren beiden Kindern Interrail nach Spanien und haben auf alle möglichen Wegen versucht, Sitzplätze zu reservieren. Leider scheint das mit einem Interrailticket nur 3 Tage im voraus zu gehen. Hat jemand Erfahrung, ob man so kurzfristig auch noch Plätze in den Zügen bekommt, mit denen man gerne fahren will? Da wir vorweg Unterkünfte gebucht haben, sind wir nicht mehr so flexibel, wie wir es früher waren...
Wäre super, wenn uns jemand seine Erfahrungen rückmelden könnte. Wir sind deswegen nämlich etwas unentspannt...

It seems it is even possible-IF one hits a competent and friendly worker willing to try- at DB Reisezenter, BUT you must have the train nr-which you have to find yourself on the RENFE site (it is possible, but it does take some knowledge and willpower)
It is NOT 3 days advance-thats in fact the term RENFE holds tickets for you that you have ordered by fone-you get a code and with this code at counter in ESpana you get the tickets+pay
ON eurail site also: a general list of REServ per country and cost
And a listing by a seewulf who explains on howtodoit by yourself (if possible) and save money too via railway direct
After all this: In summer its simply a PITA (pain in the ass) to travel in ESpana by train with a pass-by far the very worst of all countries doing InterRail
