Alrite guys,
2 Irish lads and 1 Scot new to interrailing and looking for your help!
We are flying from Ireland to Amsterdam at the start of August and are planning on ending up on the beaches of Croatia after 35 days travelling. We plan to allow for 3 days in Amsterdam before our interrail pass becomes valid.
Please can you help us out and let us know if you can improve our chosen good/bad route? Please leave any comments or suggestions you feel might be of help.
1. Holland
Amsterdam
2. Germany
Berlin
Dresden (Is it worthwhile? How long would you reccomend?)
3. Czech Republic
Karlovy Vary
Prague
Kutna Hora
Czesky Kromlov
Plzen
4. Solvakia
Bratislava
Slovensky Raj
Tatras
5. Hungary
Budapest
Lake Balatan
6. Solvenia
Ljubljana
Bled
Karst
7. Italy
Venice
Rome
Pescara – just to get boat to Croatia
8. Croatia
Arrive off boat into Split and then island hop to:
Hvar
Kroccula
Dubrovnik
(Undecided if we should go any further north of Split? Is there much to see?)
We have a rough idea how long we plan to stay at each of these places although are a bit unsure of how long the train journeys will take. If anyone has been on a similar route or has a rough idea of journey times it would be greatly appreciated.
As we would like to mix it up and see the countryside aswell as the night clubs, can anybody tells us of any intesting villages/hidden gems they have been to or even any nightclubs/bars that might be good craic?
Finally, I might be pushing my luck here but any general travel advice and do's/don'ts regarding back pack limits, how much money to bring, night trains and ferries would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help and sorry for the long post!

Hey!!!
Your route sounds good but I would make some changes.
Let's start from the Czech Republic. Prague is a a beautiful city and you should stay there at least 4 or 5 days because there are to many things to see . But Kutna Hora and Plzen I wouldn't recommend. I was there last september and it was boring. You have just one silver museum in Kutna Hora and one beer museum in Plzen. Nothing else. It would be better to stay those days in Prague and experience the city from every side. But thats just my opinion , it's yours to decide.
About Slovenia... well ...I would only go to Ljubljana and instead of that visit Florence in Italy.
And now about Croatia.
I'm from Croatia, Pula exactly , a beautiful city situated on the north of the Adriatic see connected with a ferry line with Venice. There are many things to see here...like the amphitheater , the Augustus temple and other cultural historic monuments .
Cities like Šibenik and Zadar are also great . And I think it's a great decision to visit the islands Hvar and Korčula , but there is one thing you have to know, Hvar is the most expensive Croatian island and it's not a good destination for a small pocket.
And finally Dubrovnik ... a beautiful town which also carries the name the pearl of Adria . I've been there a few years ago and can't stop thinking about my next trip to Dubrovnik. But there are two disadvantages. First, there is no railway connection so you have to take a bus and second it's by far the most expensive city in Croatia. If you want to drink a Coce in downtown you have to pay 3 or 4 euro . But the sightseeing tour is unforgettable.
Thats all . I hope I could help.
Wish you a great trip.
Bye
Greetings from Pula
