Hello.
We´re having problems finding out how we can get to Barcelona from Perpignan on the 10th of July taking the little yellow train, through La Tour de Carol. Everytime we try on the page of the little yellow train, it doesn´t work. And when we try DB or SNCF they lead us out on a big detour.
Can anyone help us and do we actually need to book seats in the train?

you can not make reservations for this train as it is a special train... but it is free with InterRail as it is a normal SNCF train. with a lot of fun !! :)
to get a good seat (for example in a car without roof) you have to be early in Latour de Carol or Villefrance where the train leaves.
Try to put your backs under the seats as the train will be full in the summer months ...
to find the connections have a look at the train schedules between:

To get from [b]Barcelona to Latour de Carol[/b], there was in the past always a train connection (about 3 to 4 hours by regional train).
This connection seems to be canceled.
But there is a connection using a bus at the last steps to Latour de Carol. I recommend this travel as you see the Pyrenees on the Spanish site. The buses are run by the RENFE (the Spanish rail company) so should be free with InterRail as they replace the train - but no guarantee, I did not tried out this travel this summer !! ;)
