Hi - I booked a ticket amsterdam to Vienna on the direct train on 15 June, and I wasn't given an option to book anything other than a normal seat. This is an overnight train departing Amsterdam Centraal at 19.30 arriving Vienna the following day at 09.19 - is there a way to add a couchette now?

Probably not. The Nightjet online ticket system has an option for reservation only but is refusing to offer any on any date. On this date it's now not offering tickets either, which suggests it's full. On dates in July and August it will offer couchettes and sleeping berths but only with tickets. The same is happening on the DB website which suggests they won't do online reservation only on Nightjet.

Maybe you can try to upgrade to a full seating cabin. Two opposite seats in the Nightjet will make an acceptable bed.
