Read first the dozens of same-same Qs re trains to GR. As for now NOT possible all the way via rails. Cheapest is flying in most cases.
IF you follow the green path, quite populair as for now, then you coudl try a rather roundabout route that will take at least 2x as long as former, train as far as some spot before BG border-slk/taxi to 1st stop in there; Kulata, via Sofia-Vidin-Craiova-Budapest onward. Proably-assuming you wll travel firther and maybe even come back a railpass might suit you-peek current high discount due to InterRail 50 yrs.
