Arriving by ship in Bergen, Norway, on May 4. On May 5 would like to take day trip by train from Bergen to Voss with an intermediate stop in Dale. Is it possible to get off the train in Dale to tour the Dale wool factory for a couple of hours and then board a subsequent train to Voss on the same ticket? Would hope to return to Bergen by evening. If that's possible, would appreciate details.
Thanks,

Hi!

There are frequent (for Norwegian/Scandinavian standards) regional trains between Bergen, Dale and Voss, full schedule here: https://www.vy.no/globalassets/vy.no/filer-no/rutetabeller-tog/r22-rutetabeller/engelske-tabeller-r22/45-eng-vossebanen-12-12-21_10-12-22.pdf?date=1648060766563
Additional express trains run between Bergen and Voss (and onwards to Bergen) which you could use for your return trip: https://www.vy.no/globalassets/vy.no/filer-no/rutetabeller-tog/r22-rutetabeller/41-bergensbanen-18-4_5-6-22.pdf?date=1648060766563

General schedule planner for Norway: https://entur.no/

Trains are operated by "Vy", the former national railway company NSB; tickets available at https://www.vy.no/ or locally at the train stations.

I do not think that you can make a stopover in Dale on your way to Voss, but best thing is to ask beforehand at the station in Bergen. Ticket prices on this route (for the regional trains) should be standard fare so no cheaper advance fares available.
However, you can include a stopover in Dale when booking on vy.no for the same overall price between Bergen and Voss (237 NOK).
