Hi, I'm considering the SJ (operated by Vy Nattag) night train from Stockholm to Abisko. Do you know if the trains have heating on - would it be comfortably warm?

We'll dress up warmly but travelling with a child so was worried if it could get noticeably cold inside (less than a room temperature, say 21-22 Celcius)?

You can trust both the Swedes and the Norwegians are very, very much used to riding in winter and they are indeed advanced enough to have trains always heated. But I cannot garantee that each and every minor spot everywhere on a very long train is always at least 22 C- it may be even hotter, it may also on a tiny spot be less.
In fact this is the very first time in many, many years of seeing people ask all type of Questions about train travel, that this turns up!
