Hi,
When I make a seat reservation only on ÖBB and I have to change the schedule, e.g. due to delays, can I change the reservation? I know DB allows 1 change, is it the same at ÖBB?

Hi!
As far as I know (and expierenced) no exchange/refund due to personal issues; if you cant make a reserved train due to a delay of a connecting train it shouldnt be a problem to get a seat assigned by the on board staff if you show them the reservation for the train you missed.

As for now and since many years the ONLY trains that one is required to reserve are the NightJets. For the daytime trains its voluntary, except for those running to Italy and then only for cross the border.
OeBB offers to its own season ticket holders special REServations for just 1€-there are isolated reports they also charge that for passholders-frankly, to ask for a refund for that does not even seem worth the trouble to do it.
