Hi Community
I want to travel in May 22 from Thessaloniki to Kavala in Greece, to then take the ferry to Thassos.
In the Internet I cannot find information.
Who knows help?

fat chance there is no train at all-check trainose.
So there are buses-in Gr all run/organised by KTEL on a provincial base. Its probably by now way to early to have details for then, but try a google or so. Most ferry company website also have some info on how to reach the ports-often these are now way out of town and are mainly for people with cars, but to a small island that is less likely.

Thanks a lot. Thats what I also found out meanwhile. The idea with the ferry company is good. I will try that.

Hi Geseko.
As you found out already and as nltrainer explained, the best option is the bus (KTEL). No train connection is available.
There are frequent bus connections available. See here on their official website: https://ktelmacedonia.gr/en/routes/&tid=17

Usually the booking right at the bus station in Thessaloniki is no problem.

The bus station is here: https://rail.cc/thessaloniki/thessaloniki-macedonia-intercity-bus-station/l3599
It is not that fare away from the railway station: https://rail.cc/thessaloniki/station/c

Anyway, if you prefer to book your seat in advance, websites like Busbud, Getbybus, etc offer such a service.
The ticket rice is about 15 EUR. The journey time is 2:00 to 2:30 hours.

Best, Peter :)
