Hi.
To travel from Budapest to Odessa, you need to change trains once, either in Lviv or Kiev.

### Budapest to Kiev

Budapest Keleti departure 19:40
Kiev Pass arrival 17:21
Train number: 40149
It is this train: https://rail.cc/night-train/vienna-kiev-d-40147/589

You can book this train at: https://rail.shop/polrail
Polrail is a travel agency in Poland I know personally. They exist already very long time and are specialist for international rail travel mainly in Eastern Europe. I can recommend!

A bed in a 2nd class sleeper is there 135 EUR / 625 PLN
If you buy the ticket directly in Hungary, it will be cheaper. Hungarian railways does not sell this ticket online: https://rail.shop/mav
Austrian railways sell this train ticket from Vienna via Budapest to Kiev for 96 EUR in a double sleeper: https://rail.shop/oebb

### Kiev to Odessa

There are day and night trains with a journey time between 7 and 10 hours. A 2nd class ticket or 2-bed-sleeper ticket is about 15 EUR.

You can book it online at Ukrainian railways: https://rail.shop/uz

If you have further questions, please just ask. Best wishes, Peter :)
