Hi, can someone help to explain what's best to do ? We will be in Switzerland from July 24, 2020 to Jul 30, 2020, taking the train from Zurich to Lucerne, stay 3 nights then from Lucerne to Lauterbrennan, stay 2 nights. Then head back to Zurich morning of Jul 30, 2020. Questions are: 1) Is it best to buy individual train tickets or a pass and what type of pass ? 2) What is best to do/see while in Lucerne and what's best to do/see in Lauterbrennan. Thank you for your help.

Hi!
For the "Jungfrau region" (everything south of Interlaken, including Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch) you can buy a number of different passes and tickets. Have a look here: https://www.jungfrau.ch/
For travelling from Zurich to Lucerne, Lucerne to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen and Lauterbrunnen/Interlaken to Zurich you can buy regular single tickets from https://rail.shop/sbb (Swiss Railways).
If you plan on travelling around in Jungfrau area (for instance to visit Kleine Scheidegg and/or Jungfraujoch) a Jungfrau pass might plus single tickets for the remaining journeys might be the best option.
You could also check out the range of Swiss Passes: https://rail.shop/swisstravelpass
These give you free travel on most trains, covering Zurich - Luzern - Interlaken - Zurich and give you a reduction on travel in Jungfrau region.
If you have more questions let us know.
