Hey everyone, when i checked ferry routes from Stockholm to Helsinki one month ago, it was included in Interrail global pass, but when i checked it again today saw that neither the mobile app nor the website doesn't even show the ferry routes anymore. Does anyone have knowledge about it? thanks in advance

Hi!

I would contact the ferry companies directly:
https://rail.shop/tallinksilja
https://rail.shop/viking
Would be interesting to hear what they say.

I checked the sites:
Viking still gives 50% discount on the fare, but the porttax and the obligatory bed/hut for overnight you have to pay besides that. The fare as such for Stockholm-Turku is quite low, but this may also be seasonal. To Helsinki it is more, but that takes longer and the ships are far more big and luxury.
On the site of SiljaTallink nothing can be found about discount. Via google I found 20% disc. summertime and 50% off-sason (=now), again only on fare, pay extra for porttax and hut/bed. However nowhere I could find how old this is and/or still valid.
I can remember that very long ago on the DAYtime boat it was even free for IR on silja, but since then they merged with TalLink and it became discount only.

Hello fehanis.

Information from "Tallink / Silja Line":

A valid Eurail/InterRail pass must be presented at check-in in the terminal!

The reductions refer to regular one-way fares for the cabin classes C / E-A Class.
On the Helsinki-Tallinn route a discount is granted for Star Class deck spaces.
Also on the daytime departure between Turku and Stockholm the discount is only granted on the deck space. Limited availability. Discount varies depending on departure date and booking situation.
The discount is only valid for the entire cabin and is not applicable to shared seats in shared cabins and does not apply to mini-cruises and hotel packages.

When booking online, enter the promotion code EURAIL or INTERRAIL, depending on which card you have.

Information from "Viking Line":

The cheapest route is by day ferry from Stockholm to Turku and then on by train to Helsinki.
But an overnight trip is also fun. And you save the hostel in Stockholm or Helsinki! In summer there is no real darkness at night, therefore you see a lot! :)
