Can I travel with the Interrail Ticket for free from Patras to Ancona. And do I need a reservation

Hi!

Yes, you can travel "for free" with Interrail; but you need to pay port taxes, fuel surcharge and an extra surcharge during high season. These are not part of the ticket prices and hence have to be paid also with Interrail.
With an Interrail pass for 2nd class no accomodation is included, you can sleep anywhere on the deck or in the public areas of the ship. With a 1st class Interrail pass accomodation in a reclining seat ("Pullman seat") is included.
Fuel surcharge is 10€, high season surcharge (in July and August) is 25€, I do not know about port taxes.
If you want you can also book (locally at the port) an upgrade for a cabin; prices start at 38€ for a bed in a 4bed bunk.
