We have Eurail Global pass travel ticket and wish to travel from Milan on Bernina Express, after which we’d like to go to Lourdes from Lyon. We have not booked accomodation as I’m not sure What is the best route to travel and would like suggestions how we can do this.

Hi!

You have several options.
To start, you have to travel from Milan to Tirano, train schedules are here: https://rail.shop/trenord
From Tirano you can travel the route of Bernina Express to St. Moritz. On this route you can either travel with the Bernina Express train (panoramic cars with dedicated touristic service, seat reservation compulsory) or regular trains (no reservation needed.
From St. Moritz you can continue to Chur and then have two options:
a) travel fast via Zurich - Bern - Lausanne to Geneve
b) travel slow via Disentis/Mustér - Andermatt - Brig - Montreux - Lausanne to Geneve
Option b) follows the route of Glacier Express and is quite scenic but takes a lot longer than option a)
From Geneve you have several direct regional trains (called "TER") to Lyon.
No reservations are needed, you can travel on all trains with your Eurail pass. Schedules can be found here: https://rail.shop/sbb or http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/dn
From Lyon, best option is to take a TGV (high speed train) towards Toulouse and then continue to Lourdes. Seat reservation required for TGV trains. Schedules and reservations available at https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation
