Hey folks,

I'm starting my first Interrail adventure in a few weeks and after weeks of planning I can't decide for a route - there a too many beautiful places! So I think I will just go to Venice and then see, what happens. Now I'm reading about a lot of problems concerning the reservations in Italy, so here are my questions:

Is it possible to book the reservations very spontaneous? Or is it better to have a route and book now in advance?
Do I have to go to the rail station to book?
Or can I book online? If this is possible, what's the best website for this?
When I take a route including 3 trains, do I have to pay three reservation (รก 10 Euro) or do I have to pay just one time the 10 Euro?

Thanks at all responders in advance! :)

Hi.
Sadly Trenitalia does not sell reservations online anymore. therefore you have to go to a station and buy the Interrail reservation there at a ticket window.
You can book spontaneously - as there are a lot of daily connections in Italy.
For every high-speed-train you use you have to pay the 10 EUR.
But there are a lot of regional trains and also Intercity trains are free in Italy (even a reservation is recommended for the Intercitys = 3 EUR).
