Hello! Beginner train-traveller here.
I'm planning on visiting Paris and I'm now curious - can I use my interrail card for subways or do I have to pay for those tickets?
Also - as a little subquestion. Does anyone have any cheap hostels/b&b's to recommend for Paris, Florence and or Rome? I'm trying to save as much as I can however CouchSurfing is not an option. Any tips?
Thanks!

Hi.
The "metro" in Paris is not included in Interrail.
Interrail has its focus on real trains, no on general transportation.
But local transport is not that expensive and I even recommend to walk. You see more of the city, also the hidden places and not only the touristic ones. :)
Hostels, try https://rail.shop/hostelworld
