Hi, we are in the process of booking train tickets from Bergen to Oslo or the opposite way, we can do either. Will one option give us more time to take the train from Myrdal to Flam? I see the earliest available from Bergen headed to Oslo is 11:59PM. Also, this may sound silly, but do I book the tickets on the Flam railway at the same time or is that different. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi.
There are "Norway in a Nutshell" offers available, including even a ferry trip on the Fjord. Read here for details: https://rail.shop/norwayinanutshell
This route might fit your needs: N1406Oslo-Myrdal-Flam-Gudvangen-Voss-Oslo

If you want to do it just by rail (what I personally prefer), then have a look at this example:

Oslo departure: 0625
Myrdal arrival: 1137

Myrdal departure (Flamsbanan): 1213
Falm arrival: 1310

Flam departure (Flamsbanan): 1450
Myrdal arrival: 1545

Myrdal departure: 1551
Bergen arrival: 1756

Tickets are all available via https://rail.shop/acprail/vy or directly on VY.no.
You have to book them separately for every trip.

Optionally you can even go down-hill by bike (a really relaxed and beautiful trip) from Myrdal to Flam. Easy. Book the bike online at: https://caferallaren-eng.squarespace.com/bike-rentals
I can give your more details if you like, please just ask here.
