Hello. I have interrail tickets but need a reservation Split-Budapest for the month of July. This is a night train. The problem is my phone shows a one 18:28 departure no changes but the online interrail reservation portal does not. I am stuck with 2 or 3 coach change at the wee hours of the night with a lot of waiting time between trains. And interrail asks to select the closest one to your likes and describe in a note what you really are after... but after a few working days the always get back empty handed, having reserved an even taxing route with 4 or more changes.
How can I fix this??
Thanks

Hello.
You talk about this direct summer season train from Split to Budapest. Here you find the Interrail reservation fees: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/split-budapest-b1205/133
This train runs daily during the summer months until September. Live schedules are available on http://plan.rail.cc
The official schedule of MAV (Hungarian railways) is here: https://www.mavcsoport.hu/file/356897/download?token=dDln4aLJ

The reservation for this night train is available at ticket windows in stations, also outside of Croatia.

If the direct train is sold out (might happen in the summer months), use the night train from Split to Zagreb and change there to the day train to Budapest. Read our blog post about Split to Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/blog/zagreb-split-night-train

I personally do not use this Interrail App and can not help you with the functions of it. I buy my reservations always at stations or if available online directly from the railway companies.

A list of all night trains with Interrail information: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
And all train types with booking links for reservations if available: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Enjoy your trip, Pete :)
