Hi there!
I bought the interrail pass a few months ago with four other friends and while we were trying to make the train reservations, two days later of sending our order (the reservations to check if we could proceed to make the payment) it appeared us that we were unable to make the reservations from bar to belgrade and from belgrade to sofia.
I´ve been reading that you can only get the tickets at the Bar station, but I don´t know if the interrail pass works there or if we are going to have to buy the normal ticket. In addittion, I´ve read some of you talking about making the reservations, but I haven´t found any webpage talking about the reservations in Montegro.
also, if anyone knows something about ho to get the tickets or the timetable of the trains of this route (Bar-Belgrade-Sofia) it would be very helpful.
thank you very much!!!

Hi.
Yes, in eastern Europe it is very common to just buy the reservations locally at the station.

Bar-Belgrade:
Here our blog post about the route from Belgrade to Bar: https://rail.cc/en/blog/belgrade-bar-train
And here the reservation fees for Interrail on this train. It is very cheap and easy standard to buy it at the station. The staff is used to it: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/bar-belgrade-b432/146

Belgrade-Sofia:
By day train. The schedule is here: https://rail.shop/sv
Select "Topcider" as departure station (it is the new temporarily departure station, see blog above) and as destination of course "Sofia".
The day train does not need a reservation if I'm right. But just ask at the station in Belgrade, it won't be a problem to get one if required when you arrive there from Bar.

Pete :)
