I want to buy a train for Skopje - Thessaloniki. It is written that there are several trains, but when it comes to buying and redirecting to the site, there is always no such train. Where can I buy a ticket?

Hi!

Where did you find that information about several trains running between Skopje and Thessaloniki?

At the moment there is no train running; only during the summer months (June 15 to September 16) there will be the night train Belgrade - Skopje - Thessaloniki which you can use.
However, this train departs Skopje very early in the morning at 0445 (arrival in Thessaloniki at 1033). Read more here: https://rail.cc/en/blog/belgrade-skopje-thessaloniki-train

The alternative route via Bitola - Florina (where no trains operate across the border and you have to take a taxi) is described here: https://rail.cc/de/blog/skopje-athen

Tickets are not available online but have to bought old-school locally at a train station.

Thanks so much for the quick response. I\'m going to go on May 20th. I would arrange a night train, because I will come to Skopje from Podgorica, Montenegro, at 2:30 in the morning. But I understood correctly that in May this train will not go yet?

No, unfortunately the night train will run the first time on June 14 from Belgrade, meaning June 15 from Skopje.
