Hello,

Purchased an Italio ticket for myself and my wife, the 1st passenger is in my name and the 2nd is also in my name with a #1 added.

The ticket email confusingly states -
"If your ticket is associated with an Italo PiĆ¹ account. Only the account holder can travel on this ticket. Please check the passenger details entered so as to avoid incurring any possible fines."

Not sure what the issue is with the passenger details as on booking the ticket the naming of the 2nd passenger is not mandatory.

Can anyone explain this?

Hi!

In my opinion this would be only relevant if you\'d have an Italo Piu account (which you probably have not). So I wouldnt worry.
Will try to check in more detail...

Hi Flo,

Logged in to the Italo site when purchasing the tickets. The log in site appeared to bounce between the ticket (only) gateway and the loyalty site - presumably depending on the access link used e.g. a newsletter link. Guessing that the ticket/email is stating that the ticket is non-transferable as the booking of the unnamed #1 passenger was not declined.

Hi Flo,

Paris Thello night train to Milan, Italo - Milan to Rome (taking a 1 hour break at Termini) - then Italo Rome to Naples. Done the same route last year with Trenitalia which was amazing thought we would give Italio a try this holiday.
