Hey guys :)
Next week I want to travel form Faro to Madrid. And I thought it would be the easiest way to take the train to Lisbon and the night train (hot 335) from Lisbon to Madrid. Now I wonder if the night train is included in my Interrail pass and if it would be just one travel day (because I will take the train at 21:34 in Lisbon and it would arrive at 8:40 in Madrid - I would not need to change the train).
Thanks for your help!

Hi Yvonne and welcome to rail.cc :)
Yes, the night train is included in your Interrail pass. Buy the reservation at a station in Portugal. Reservation prices start from Euro 7. Read here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/lisbon-madrid-th-335/72[/ux]
And yes, it is ONE travel day.
For example: use a day train from Faro to Lisbon. Have dinner in Lisbon. Get on the night train to Madrid. This is one travel day. Fill in your Interrail pass the date of the departure in Lisbon. :)
Beside the night train, the day train from Faro to Lisbon also requires a reservation. It is usually Euro 5 and available at stations. Trains you will meet (direct ones to Lisbon):
- AP: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/alfa-pendular-cp/34[/ux]
- IC: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/intercity-cp/33[/ux]
Another option is (just in case, I personally would go for the night train above):
- by bus from Faro to Sevilla: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-bus/faro-seville/23[/ux]
- from Sevilla by train to Madrid: here is the best the direct AVE trains in just 2:30h. They require a reservation [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/ave-renfe/23[/ux] , available at stations as well.
And finally, if you like the free content on rail.cc , you are welcome to buy your ticket via our partner link (same price for you, but support for rail.cc) [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)
Enjoy your Interrail trip, Pete :)
