HI, I would like to take the night train from Venice, Italy to Passau, Germany. I know the train goes to Munich. I, mom, would be traveling with my 16 year old son and would like some sort of sleeper car but I am not sure if I should book a sleeper car or couchette to make sure we are together. Can you please advise?
Thank you

Hi AShea98,

One option is to travel in a private 2-person sleeper compartment. If you book the entire sleeper compartment, the gender of the passengers is irrelevant.

The other (cheaper) option is to book berths in a mixed-gender couchette compartment. There are 4-person and 6-person couchette compartments, both are either mixed-gender or ladies-only. You would share the compartment with other mixed-gender passengers.

Have a nice trip!

Hi and welcome.
Quenzon already explained. I personally would go for a sleeper - of course more expensive, but an experience. Tickets are available on [ux]https://rail.shop/omio[/ux] and [ux]https://rail.shop/oebb[/ux].
Bellow you find a video and the our blog [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/nightjet-night-train-munich-rome/[/ux] to the night train Rome to Munich. It would be the same type of train for you from Venice. In your case the shortest option would be the nightjet from Venice in direction of Munich and exit already in Wels. From there by regional train (journey time about 1:15h) to Passau.
Do you know already your travel date? Then we could go more into details and compare prices and options. :)

Hi Pete,
Do you work for an agency providing train tickets? We are looking to travel to Passau from Venice on the night of June 15, 2019.
Thank you
