My husband & I will be travelling from Stockholm, Sweden to Oslo, Norway with only a 20 minute connection time in Goteburg, Sweden. Will this be enough time for us to make our connection?

Hi and welcome to railcc!
In general, 20 minutes is enough; Göteborg C (Central) is a terminus which means that you can quickly change platforms via the large central platform at the end of the tracks (to gain time, exit the train at the front).
However, delays of 20 minutes and more can quickly happen (due to construction works, operational problems,...) so if possible I would plan with more time in Göteborg. Which particular connection are you looking at?

Thanks for your response, Flo. It gives us some peace of mind knowing that we should be able to make this connection.

You\'re welcome. Anyway, if possible I would take an earlier connection, if possible (eg if you have an open ticket or a rail pass). Also, why dont you travel on a direct train from Stockholm to Oslo?

We have a Eurail Global Pass, but can\'t find an earlier connection. What can you tell me about a direct train from Stockholm to Oslo?

Sunday, August 25, 2019. We hope to leave from Stockholm Centraal Station as our lodging is a short walk to there. We\'re already booked in Oslo for the evening of the 25th, so that can\'t be changed. We haven\'t booked our train reservation as it is too soon, but I\'m not opposed to the 20 minute connection time in Goteburg if that is what we need to do. We will be coming back through Goteburg on our way from Oslo to Copenhagen a few days later and that connect time is only 15 minutes. It seems as if we will have had a brief look at the layout of the station in Goteburg before our shorter transfer time. We still would appreciate any information and advice you have on the trip, though!

You can find all the relevant timetables here: [ux]https://tagtidtabeller.resrobot.se/[/ux]
However please note that on some routes (such as Stockholm - Oslo, 70) schedules are not valid throughout 2019 and summer schedules are not available yet. Due to construction works on the direct route (see [ux]http://www.bueker.net/trainspotting/map.php?file=maps/scandinavian-peninsulas/scandinavian-peninsulas.gif[/ux]) there is only a a limited service available - currently two direct trains between Stockholm and Oslo. It is likely that a similar service will resume after June 23.
The alternative route via Gothenburg takes longer but offers more connections, see tables 60 and 99. For connections from Gothenburg to Copenhagen see table 100. On this route I recommend to travel with the Oresundtrains ("O-Tag" which you can use without a seat reservation.
On the route from Stockholm to Göteborg note that with Eurail you cannot use MTR Express or SKJB Bla Taget services.
