1° or 2° class?

Hi,
I\'ve to buy interrail pass 15-5. I travel 4 days in night train.
There is different by the 1 class to the 2 class if i travel in night train, where i must book ticket before the start?

2nd class will be easily enough on this route, 1st class is a waste of money.
